The press event of the European programme REA’s GARDEN was successfully held on Wednesday, 22 July, at Olympias The Rooftop Bar in Athens, bringing together media representatives, professionals from the food and beverage sector, experts in healthy nutrition, and programme partners.

The event gave attendees the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the programme’s philosophy, objectives, and scope, as well as the activities being implemented in Greece and Romania. REA COOP – Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Argolis was also presented as the programme beneficiary, highlighting its contribution to the production and promotion of European citrus fruit juices.

A central focus of the event was the presentation of the key characteristics associated with European production, including the application of high quality and safety standards, traceability throughout the production chain, and the use of sustainable practices at every stage of the production process. Reference was also made to the nutritional value of fruit juices and the ways in which they can be incorporated into everyday dietary habits as part of a balanced diet.

The event made a significant contribution to increasing the visibility of the REA’s GARDEN programme and promoting European fruit juices in the Greek market, while also highlighting the distinctive characteristics of products of European origin, which are associated with high standards of quality, safety, and reliability.
